Ingredients
2 cups granulated sugar
5 large eggs, beaten
2 cups milk
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
3 cups cubed French bread, allow to stale overnight in a bowl
1-9oz bag Good Sense® Fruit Nibbler®, chopped into bite size pieces
Topping:
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup Good Sense® Pecan Halves
Sauce:
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease a 13 x 9 inch pan.
2. Mix together granulated sugar, eggs and milk in a bowl; add vanilla.
3. In pan, layer 1/2 amount of cubed bread, then layer the Good Sense® Fruit Nibbler®, then put the other 1/2 of the bread on top. Pour egg mixture over bread and let soak for 10 minutes.
4. In another bowl, crumble butter, brown sugar and pecans together with a fork.
5. Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over the soaked bread mixture and bake for 30-45 minutes or until set. Remove from oven.
Sauce:
1. Mix together granulated sugar, butter, egg and vanilla in saucepan over medium heat and stir until sugar is melted. Pour over bread pudding.
